Ether Houston

TogETHER we are stronger.

About the Initiative

As many are aware, Hurricane Harvey recently swept through parts of the southern United States, leaving a trail of destruction in its path. Thousands of Texans have been displaced from their homes and lost everything.

Our goal is to provide a means through which members of the Ethereum community can donate Ether to help volunteers and organizations on the ground with disaster relief. It is our belief that smart contracts' trustless-based system outperforms traditional methods by which funds are distributed. Moreover, donations are more likely to reach the intended recipients instead of being consumed by micro-transaction costs.

Proceeds will be equally distributed to Houston Texans' defensive end JJ Watt's relief efforts, the Greater Houston Community Foundation, and the Greater Houston Black Chamber.
